ONLY TWO SEATS LEFT!
(Due to a client cancellation)
July 2019 marks 30 years since our Founding Director operated his first coach tour way back in 1989 whilst still at school! Little did he think back then, he would still be doing this 30 years on as a full time career.
To mark the occasion we thought it would be nice to return to the area where it all began - the Lake District. His very first coach tour back in 1989 visited the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway. Over the years this has always proved popular as a destination especially when we used to run a day excursion programme. Therefore, it seemed fitting that we should choose the Lake District as the location for this very special one off ‘Grand Day Out’, which includes a three course dinner at the 4* Preston Marriott on the way home.
We look forward to welcoming you on this ‘Grand Day Out’ … Indulge Yourself!
Our 'Grand Days Out' are designed to recapture the essence of the Golden Age of Travel, but with a modern twist.
From the moment your Tour Manager welcomes you aboard at your joining point, and you take your seat, you are in for a rather special day out.
We journey to Haverthwaite Station near Ulverston, where we arrive late morning to board the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway to Lakeside. On arrival at Lakeside, we transfer to one of the famous Windermere Steamers for a cruise on Lake Windmere as we sail to Ambleside savouring spectacular scenery. On arrival, we enjoy some time at leisure before rejoining our luxury coach for a spectacular drive through the central & northn lakes as we pass through Grasmere, Rydal, Thirlmere (weather permitting, a group photograph will be taken here with Helvelin in the background), Keswick & Troutbeck before rejoining the motorway at Penrith.
Early evening, we arrive at the 4* Preston Marriott for a 3 course Lakeland themed meal followed by after dinner tea/coffee. We then rejoin our coach one last time for the journey home taking the memories of this very special Grand Day Out home with us. We arrive back at your original joining point later this evening.
DRESS CODE - Our ‘Grand Days Out’ are designed to recapture the essence of the Golden Age of Travel. As a result, we operate a dress code of smart casual, which means clients are politely requested not to wear jeans, trainers or t-shirts on these tours.
